Languages Coordinatorship

The Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University Foreign Languages Coordination Office carries out its work with the aim of establishing the preparatory classes of departments and programmes taught wholly or partly in a foreign language at our university, and of planning, implementing and supervising the foreign language teaching activities conducted in these units. Carried out through the English, Arabic and Turkish Preparatory Units, these activities are organised in a way that ensures the preparatory programmes proceed in a coherent and integrated structure, both internally and in relation to one another. The Coordination Office aims to strengthen cooperation between the preparatory programmes in different languages and to ensure that language education is conducted in coordination with the academic units.

Purpose

To establish the foreign language preparatory classes of the departments/programmes taught wholly or partly in a foreign language at the university and to carry out foreign language teaching activities.

Objective

To draw up the teaching plans of the preparatory programmes, to supervise the teaching activities of the preparatory programmes and to ensure cooperation among the Unit Coordinators so that the preparatory programmes in different languages are conducted in parallel and as an integrated whole.
