YKS - New Registration

Dear Student,

Welcome to the İZÜ Family. We congratulate you and your family on earning the right to enrol at our University and wish you every success in your studies.

The e-Registration procedures for candidates placed at our University through the 2025-YKS Additional Placement will be carried out between 10-12 October 2025 via the Council of Higher Education E-Registration System.

Detailed information about registration is provided below; reading this information carefully and following the steps in order will enable you to complete your registration easily and without any problems.

STEP-BY-STEP E-REGISTRATION PROCEDURES;
STEP 1:

Find out your tuition fee amount by querying it on the İZÜ Tuition Fee Payment System and make your payment. Click here for information about payment procedures > > >

STEP 2:

After paying your tuition fee, complete your University registration by logging in to the 10-12 October 2025 E-Registration System between the dates stated. Click here for the E-Registration User Guide > > >

STEP 3:

After completing your e-registration, log in to the University E-Registration Document Query System and generate your barcoded E-Registration Document. Your final registration is completed automatically the moment you generate your E-Registration Document. You do not need to come to the University or submit any documents.
 

STEP 4:

https://portal.izu.edu.tr/ — create the password required to log in to the Campus Information System (KBS) at this address and verify your contact details with the help of the İZÜ Account Verification Guide. (You may start from item 3 of the guide.)

 

STEP 5:

Log in to the Campus Information System (KBS) and upload the documents required for registration using the screen that opens on your first login. Finally, please complete the short survey prepared for you.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

* Students who upload the documents required for registration to the Campus Information System (KBS) do not need to come to our University to submit documents in person.

* Candidates who are unable to complete their e-registration between 10-12 October 2025 must apply in person to the Student Affairs Office by 17:00 on Friday, 17 October 2025 at the latest, together with the YKS Registration Petition and the documents required for final registration, in order to complete their enrolment.

* Students who do not complete their registration on the announced dates are deemed to have waived their right to become a student of the University and may not claim any rights.

* Students with disabilities must submit the report indicating their type and percentage of disability to the Student Affairs Office by the end of the working day on Friday, 17 October 2025 at the latest.

* Students who are enrolled in any formal undergraduate programme at another higher education institution cannot be registered at the University; if they have been registered, their registration is cancelled and all rights acquired through this registration are annulled. Furthermore, if it emerges that a person has registered with false information or declarations, or with forged or incomplete documents, their registration at the University is cancelled, all rights acquired through this registration are annulled and legal proceedings are initiated against them.

* Candidates who have earned the right to register for a higher education programme but who have not been able to graduate from secondary education and will sit resit or single-course examinations will also be provisionally registered at higher education institutions on the specified dates. Their final registration will be completed provided that they submit their graduation documents to the higher education institution by the end of the working day on 31 December 2025, and, in the case of Open Education High School students placed at a higher education institution, provided that they submit their graduation documents to the higher education institution by the end of the working day on 30 January 2026. The provisional registrations of those who do not document their graduation by this date will be cancelled, and candidates in this situation who do not complete their provisional registration on the specified dates will not be registered.

* Warning that information confirming high school graduation could not be obtained from the Ministry of National Education Information System during E-Registration: In order to complete the registration process, students who receive this error during E-Registration must send the document obtained from their high school stating that they have a single-course or resit examination remaining to bilgi@izu.edu.tr.

* Warning in the E-Registration System that the message "No Objection in Terms of Military Service Procedures" could not be obtained from the Ministry of National Defence Conscription Department System: Students who receive this error during E-Registration must send the "No Objection in Terms of Military Service Procedures" letter, obtained via e-Government or from the Military Recruitment Offices, to the e-mail address bilgi@izu.edu.tr.

* Warning in the E-Registration System that an active student record exists in the Higher Education Information System: Students who receive this error during E-Registration must first terminate their enrolment at the university where they are registered and send the document certifying that the registration has been cancelled bilgi@izu.edu.tr to this e-mail address. In addition, the relevant university must update its YÖKSİS data before registration.

For students who enrolled through the 2025 YKS Additional Placement in our University's undergraduate programmes with a compulsory English Preparatory Class, the English Placement Test will be held on Monday, 20 October 2025 at 11.30 in classroom DLB15 of the School of Languages Building. For our students who are placed at level B2 or above in this test, the English Language Proficiency Written and Oral Examination will be held on Tuesday, 21 October 2025 at 11.30 in classroom DLB15 of the School of Languages Building.

For students who enrolled through the 2025 YKS Additional Placement in our University's undergraduate programmes with a compulsory Turkish Preparatory Class, the Turkish Placement Test will be held on Wednesday, 22 October 2025 at 14.00 in classroom PC113 of the İZÜTÖMER Building. For our students who are placed at level B2 or above in this test, the Turkish Language Proficiency Written and Oral Examination will be held on Friday, 24 October 2025 at 14.00 in classroom PC113 of the İZÜTÖMER Building.

For students who enrolled through the 2025 YKS Additional Placement in our University's undergraduate programmes with a compulsory Arabic Preparatory Class, the Arabic Placement Test will be held on Monday, 20 October 2025 at 14.00 in classroom DL116 of the School of Languages Building. For our students who are placed at level B2 or above in this test, the Arabic Language Proficiency Written and Oral Examination will be held on Tuesday, 21 October 2025 at 10.00 in classroom DL116 of the School of Languages Building.

Students who wish to begin the compulsory foreign language preparatory class at level A1 (the lowest level) do not need to take the Foreign Language Placement Test. These students start the relevant foreign language preparatory class directly at the lowest level (level A1).

Students who believe they are at level A2 or above in the relevant foreign language, as well as students who believe they may be exempt from the compulsory foreign language preparatory class (that they are at level B2 or above) must take the Foreign Language Placement Test.

In order to be exempt from compulsory foreign language preparatory education, students determined to be at level B2 or above as a result of the Foreign Language Placement Test must take and pass the Foreign Language Proficiency Examination.

* Optional Foreign Language Preparatory education is available in undergraduate programmes taught entirely in Turkish. Students who wish to receive optional English or Arabic Preparatory education must apply with a petition to the secretariat of the relevant faculty within five working days at the latest from the date of their enrolment at the University. Students whose requests are approved by the relevant faculty executive boards must take the Foreign Language Placement Test on the dates specified above.

ATTENTION OF STUDENTS WHO WILL TAKE THE FOREIGN LANGUAGE PLACEMENT AND PROFICIENCY EXAMINATIONS:

-We recommend that you review the Sample English Proficiency Examination before the exam.
-No make-up examination is held for any stage of the examinations for any reason whatsoever.
-Students who do not take the examination are deemed to have failed it.

  • Students who have previously successfully completed the foreign language preparatory class of any university submit their exemption requests to the Foreign Languages Coordinatorship within the university registration period together with a petition and a document showing that they have successfully completed the foreign language preparatory class. (Exemption requests made at later dates, or requests for the cancellation of exemption/adaptation procedures already carried out, are not accepted.)

  • Students who obtain a score equivalent to level B2 in national or international examinations that measure all four language skills and are recognised as equivalent by ÖSYM submit the originals of these documents to the Foreign Languages Coordinatorship within the registration period.

*For all foreign languages; if no validity date is stated on the language certificate, it has been decided that foreign language certificates dated September 2005 and later will be accepted as valid.

(1) A student who has previously studied at any higher education institution whose equivalence is recognised by the Council of Higher Education may request exemption for the courses they have taken and passed at that institution by applying with a petition to the secretariat of the relevant faculty/department together with the original transcript and course contents. Documents obtained from higher education institutions abroad (excluding universities in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus) must be certified with an apostille. A student may not request exemption with a document that has not been apostilled.

(2) The student must submit the exemption request within five working days at the latest from the date of their enrolment at the university. Exemption requests made at later dates, or requests for the cancellation of exemption/adaptation procedures already carried out, are not accepted.

(3) The student's exemption request is evaluated by the adaptation committee to be formed by the relevant deanship/directorate, and is finalised by a decision of the relevant executive board following the adaptation process.

(4) Students granted course exemption may, with the approval of their academic advisor and in accordance with the course registration rules, take courses from a higher year up to the amount of ECTS credits for which they are exempt.

(5) The courses taken and passed in the previous diploma programme by students who have previously studied at any higher education institution whose equivalence is recognised by the Council of Higher Education are exempted in accordance with the principles determined by the relevant committee and are recorded on the transcript.

(6) For students who have previously studied at any higher education institution whose equivalence is recognised by the Council of Higher Education, the weighted grade point average and academic standing are calculated over the exempted courses together with the courses taken at the University.

Course selection for students who will enrol in the first year of our University's undergraduate programmes will be carried out by the students in person between 15-21 September 2025 via the Campus Information System Course Registration Page .

The approval of the courses selected by the students will be carried out by the academic advisors between 22-26 September 2025 via the Campus Information System Advisor Approval Page.
