Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University has become one of the authorized test centers for the TOEFL iBT, one of the most widely recognized English proficiency examinations in the world. Developed by Educational Testing Service (ETS), the TOEFL iBT is an international examination that measures the ability to use and understand Standard American English at university level. Examinations at our university will be held in rooms DLB09 and DLB15 in the School of Languages building. A total of 56 candidates can take the examination in a single session.
Applications for the TOEFL examination are made only through the official ETS website (https://www.ets.org/tr/toefl/ibt/register). Our university is not authorized to set examination dates or to carry out registration procedures. Candidates may register for the examination through the ETS platform seven days a week, 24 hours a day. The name used during registration must match exactly the name on the identity document to be presented on the day of the examination. As of 2018 the examination fee is 185 US Dollars, and payment can be made by American Express®, Discover®, JCB®, MasterCard®, VISA® or PayPal®. Registration closes seven days before the examination date; late registration ends four days before the examination and incurs an additional late fee of 40 US Dollars.
