İZÜ is home to nearly 1,500 international students from 79 countries. In addition to many Turkish academics with doctorates from abroad, our university's staff includes faculty members and researchers from different countries who are experts in their fields. While specializing in their fields through the education they receive, international students also get to know our country and draw inspiration from its riches. Hosting all the colours of the world at İZÜ adds an international experience for our students.
In order to enable our students to take part in extracurricular, social, cultural, artistic, scientific and sports activities and to benefit equally and regularly from the opportunities provided by the university, our University organizes various events led both by the Rectorate and the Faculties and by the student clubs and platforms established within the university. Allowing for pluralism through conferences, symposia, panel discussions and forums held with guests from the worlds of culture, art, politics, academia, publishing and business, our university offers students an ever active and lively campus life with exhibitions, trips, sports competitions and contests.
İZÜ opens the doors of a new world to its students with numerous national and international events. In addition to the 67 student clubs actively operating at the university, there are many societies and platforms. Led by these clubs, programmes such as seminars, training sessions, trips, sports tournaments and poetry recitals are organized on the basis of volunteerism and pluralism. With nearly 1,000 events held in a year at the İZÜ Stadium, the indoor sports hall, numerous conference halls, the library, foyers and campus squares, İZÜ is one of the most active universities in Istanbul.

Through the Enderun Practice School on our Halkalı Campus, nursery and kindergarten services are offered to the children of our academic and administrative staff. Nursery and kindergarten services are provided by the practice school, which has sufficient capacity to meet the need, in order to prevent staff from losing time at work and thereby increase job performance. While you are busy with your work and classes, your children enjoy a fun education.
The Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University Psychological Counselling and Guidance Unit aims to support students' personal, social, academic and professional development, to facilitate their adjustment to university and dormitory life, and to help them acquire the skills needed to cope with various problems that may arise in this process. It enables our students to better understand themselves and their surroundings, discover their abilities and develop their interpersonal communication skills. The principle of confidentiality is the basis of all work carried out in the unit.
The İZÜ Career Center organizes activities to build career awareness in our students from their first year at university. Our goal is to train well-equipped, sought-after graduates who are leaders with high employability in Turkey and around the world. In this context, at career fairs and events held throughout the year, executives and human resources units of Turkey’s leading companies give various training sessions and seminars on our campus and offer internship opportunities to our students.
The health of our students, academics and staff is very important to Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University. The Health Center on campus provides curative and preventive medical services.
Also serving as Family Medicine Unit No. 2 under the authority granted by the Ministry of Health, the İZÜ Health Center has all the authority and equipment of a primary health care centre. All students in particular, as well as academics and staff, can benefit from the center, which has a two-bed observation room, an examination room, and doctor and nurse rooms.
At our health center, where the necessary intervention is carried out in the examination room, patients are kept under observation when necessary. In cases requiring a different specialization, patients are referred to hospitals.
In the Health Center Laboratory, which will be put into service soon, blood and urine samples taken from patients will be analysed and the treatment process will begin after diagnosis.
Located in one of the most central areas of Istanbul, at a meeting point of history and natural beauty, and built on 630 decares of land, Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University offers social areas on campus where students can socialize and spend quality time. The campus has conference and seminar halls where all kinds of cultural, artistic and sports events can be held. Nearly 1,000 programmes are organized during the year by the 67 student clubs and many student societies actively working at the university. There are also many sports facilities for the physical development of our students. At İZÜ, students can study in the shade of century-old plane trees, intertwined with history and nature, and have a good time with their friends.
At İZÜ, courses in sports such as golf, basketball, fitness, football, volleyball, taekwondo, tennis, rowing, handball, wrestling, and traditional and Olympic archery are offered to students in many outdoor and indoor sports complexes. İZÜ has many national rankings and championships in these sports. On the İZÜ Campus, students have access to a professional football stadium with a capacity of 3,000 spectators, an indoor sports hall, 2 tennis courts, a fitness room, a multi-purpose sports hall (volleyball/tennis), a combat sports hall, a golf practice area and a mini golf area.

The İZÜ Library, one of the largest university libraries in Turkey, has a 13,500-square-meter indoor space where 1,100 people can study at the same time. The building complex houses around 550,000 printed and electronic books. Open 24 hours during exam periods, İZÜ Library also offers students the opportunity to study together in its study rooms. The library also houses a large number of valuable works. Selections from this carefully preserved and distinguished collection are periodically exhibited within the library.

There are various canteens and cafeterias on our campus where students can eat, rest and have fun outside class time. The cafeterias offer services to meet our students' needs for entertainment, rest and food.
İZÜ ensures that students with disabilities have access to all services and opportunities offered in relation to academic programmes and university life. It carries out work to eliminate the difficulties faced by our students with special needs in course selection, in class and during exams. İZÜ identifies the needs of our students with disabilities in academic, administrative, physical, psychological, accommodation, social and cultural areas, determines what needs to be done to meet these needs, plans, implements and develops the work to be carried out, and sets new goals by evaluating the results of this work.

Providing opportunities for 'skill and approach development' so that people with different needs can succeed in environments that are not yet suitable for them,
Removing the barriers between students with disabilities and information in cooperation with academic staff are among İZÜ’s main goals.
The İZÜ Campus is located at a central point easily accessible to students coming from all parts of Istanbul. Our campus is 10 minutes from the Sefaköy Metrobus stop. Students can also reach our campus using the shuttle services departing from Kayaşehir, Başakşehir, Bağcılar and Altunizade.
At Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University, food services are provided by a private catering company holding ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 22000 quality certificates. Meals are prepared in a hygienic environment in our University's kitchen and served self-service style from a multiple-choice menu.
In the guesthouses on our campus, in addition to ensuring that our female and male students live safely and comfortably, many activities are organized to contribute to their personal and social development. Our apartment-style guesthouses also have cinema halls, cafeterias, fitness rooms, handicraft workshops and computer laboratories.
