Welcome to the İZÜ Faculty of Sport Sciences!

Today, sport is not just a physical activity but a holistic discipline that builds the individual's mind, morals and willpower together with their body. In an age when health awareness and a culture of movement are spreading rapidly, the field of sport sciences has settled at the centre of both scientific research and public service. Developments in this field are increasing the need for educated and virtuous individuals in public, private and voluntary organizations, and therefore place important responsibilities on you, the young generation.

With a human-centred approach nourished by our culture and civilization, our University aims to educate students as individuals equipped not only professionally but also morally, intellectually and socially. The education and training activities carried out within our Faculty are supported by a curriculum equipped with the scientific resources of the age, qualified academic staff, advanced sports facilities and an interdisciplinary working environment.

Our goal is to train sports professionals who have developed themselves in various fields, particularly physical education and sports teaching, and who are innovative, responsible, committed to national and spiritual values and give priority to serving people and society. Our greatest wish is to see our students as young people who will benefit our ancient city of Istanbul, our country and all of humanity.
