Compulsory class attendance
(1) Attendance at classes and participation in all types of course activities (assignments, projects, etc.) is compulsory in the foreign language preparatory class.
(2) Attendance of 85% is compulsory in each module. Absences based on reports obtained from health institutions or other similar documents are counted within the 15% allowance for excused absence.
(3) A student who does not or cannot attend more than 15% of classes in any module, whether excused or unexcused, is deemed “absent” and therefore “unsuccessful”, and repeats the relevant module in the following module period.
(4) Teaching staff monitor and check class attendance by having students sign an attendance sheet in each class and/or by electronic record. Students' attendance records are entered into the student automation system weekly by the course instructor.
