There is an important point of intersection between the vision of Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University, which we express as “making its pioneering work in the fields of science, technology, social sciences and the arts a national and international focal point”, and the fact that English has become the common language of communication in academia, in the business world and on social media, which now spans every country.
In this context, learning English will broaden our students' horizons, enable them to establish international relations, allow them to enrich their store of knowledge, and help them follow current developments closely and make their own personal contribution to their fields.
In line with this vision, as the English Preparatory Unit we offer our students the opportunities and environments, the knowledge and materials, and the guidance they need to learn the language and reach their goals.
As a distinctive approach, we also aim, depending on our students' abilities, to teach them how to learn a language and to take responsibility for their own learning.
