- The foreign language preparatory programme is delivered in four quarters per academic year in accordance with the academic calendar determined by the Senate. Each quarter is scheduled to last at least 8 weeks and no fewer than 240 hours, including the in-module and end-of-module examinations.
- Advanced-level classes (C1 or for special purposes) may be opened for students who successfully complete the B2 module during the semester but are unable to begin courses in the degree programme in which they are enrolled.
- An intensive foreign language programme comprising no fewer than 30 class hours per week for each module is delivered in the foreign language preparatory class. This programme is carried out using a coursebook series that meets the standards of the Common European Framework of Reference and is determined by the relevant Preparatory Unit Coordinator at the beginning of the academic year, supported by supplementary materials.
- The weekly course schedules and hours of the modules are determined and announced at the beginning of the academic year through the joint work of the Coordinator of Foreign Languages and the Preparatory Programme Unit Coordinators.
