Program Objectives & Goals
Objectives
- The main objective of our Master's Program in Private Law with / without Thesis is to understand the essence and evolution of private law rules; To train legal professionals and experts with advanced skills to define and analyze national and international legal problems. As a result of in-depth studies to be carried out within the scope of both programs, our students are expected to improve their skills in analyzing the subjects that form the basis of the private law discipline, conducting original researches and writing academic articles.
- In recent years, important changes have been made in our legal order with the adoption of the new Code of Civil Procedure, the Turkish Code of Obligations and the Turkish Commercial Code, which are among the basic laws in the field of private law. In addition, the new Capital Market Law, the Petroleum Law and the Draft Law of the Istanbul Arbitration Center are other regulations that should be emphasized in this area. In addition to the mentioned local legal changes, legal regulations on a global scale also complement the graduate law education. The need for research and interpretation of the theoretical and practical applications of these subjects in addition to undergraduate education has led us to open the Private Law Master's program. This program aims to educate lawyers who investigate the legal problems in the aforementioned fields with a questioning perspective, make creative and original analyzes and produce solutions.
