Study Rooms

GROUP STUDY ROOMS (For Students)

These rooms are made available by reservation to students who wish to study in groups of at least three people, in the form of spoken presentation, discussion and so on.

  • Reservations are made for two hours.
  • Upon request, an "extension of time" may be granted, taking demand into account.
  • Weekend reservations must be made in person on weekdays only.
  • No food or drink other than water may be consumed.
  • Group study rooms may not be used as workshops. Cutting, gluing, soldering and similar activities are not permitted.
  • When vacating the rooms, no scrap paper, tissues or other rubbish should be left behind.
  • Ayşe Beyza Yıldız is responsible for study room reservations.

INDIVIDUAL STUDY ROOMS (For academics and doctoral students at the thesis stage)

Individual Study Rooms are allocated primarily to academics who wish to work on their theses, books, articles and similar projects in a quiet environment. If a room is available, they are also made available to doctoral students at the thesis stage.

  • Rooms may be reserved for a maximum of three days.
  • Upon request, an "extension of time" may be granted, taking demand into account.
  • Weekend reservations must be made in person on weekdays only.
  • No food or drink other than water may be consumed. Mobile phones should not be used. Unless absolutely necessary, please use your computer without a mouse. The use of a mouse is highly noticeable in a quiet environment and gives rise to complaints.
  • When vacating the room, no scrap paper, tissues or other rubbish should be left behind.
  • Ayşe Beyza Yıldız is responsible for study room reservations.
Note:
  • Reservations are made on weekdays between 08:45–12:30 and 13:30-17:15.
  • Weekend reservations can only be made on weekdays.
  • All of our study rooms are open between 08:45 and 20:00.
  • Individual study rooms may be reserved for doctoral students at the thesis stage, taking demand into account.
