Electrical-Electronics Engineering

The Department of Electrical-Electronics Engineering at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University aims to train students as individuals with an analytical mindset who can access information effectively whenever they need it, who learn through research, and who continuously renew themselves through lifelong learning. Throughout their education, students are supported in developing skills in the humanities, communication and cultural adaptability, within a warm and close student-faculty relationship built on understanding and research rather than rote memorisation. With 30% of instruction delivered in English, the department teaches general engineering courses in the first year; from the second year onward, students reinforce their fundamental engineering knowledge alongside professional courses. Students are also offered a rich elective course programme tailored to their areas of interest.

Graduates have employment opportunities in our country's energy sector, in the electromechanical and electronics industries, and in the electrical and electronics units of public institutions. Career opportunities exist in electricity generation plants, rural electrification, energy systems, industrial automation, telecommunications, lighting and power installations, as well as computer hardware and software. Students who successfully complete the programme may also continue their academic careers by applying to master's and doctoral programmes in Electrical-Electronics Engineering or related disciplines. Because part of the instruction is delivered in English, graduates are also able to compete internationally.
