Website Editorial and Monitoring Committee Duties and Responsibilities
Website Editorial and Monitoring Committee Duties and Responsibilities
1. Staff assigned to the Committee are responsible for updating the web pages of the academic and administrative unit to which they are affiliated.
2. This Committee is responsible for ensuring harmony and consistency between the University and unit pages.
3. The person or persons designated by each unit for assignment to the Committee serve as fully authorized and responsible editors with access to the system.
4. Each unit is responsible for determining on which pages, and in what detail and appearance, its content will appear. For content that needs to be announced or displayed on pages other than the unit's own page, approval must be obtained from the relevant units.
5. Each unit is responsible for the currency, accuracy, and appropriateness of the content it produces, as well as any related information, citations, and references appearing on the pages of the University's other units.
6. Requests for a new button, a new subpage, or other equivalent additions to a unit page shall be evaluated and decided upon by the Committee Steering Board.
7. Any announcement or change that a unit makes on its own page regarding the content it produces shall be checked and verified by another assigned staff member.
8. Differences in practice and disputes that may arise between units within the Committee's area of responsibility shall be resolved by the Committee Steering Board, composed of the Chair of the Website Editorial and Monitoring Committee, the relevant Unit Manager, and the relevant Vice Rector.
9. If a staff member serving on the Committee leaves this role, the relevant unit must notify the name of the person who will serve on the Committee within one week at the latest.
10. Committee members are primarily responsible for coordinating the sub-units and duties within their own units.
Any software support required for the Committee's duties shall be provided and coordinated by the University's IT department. With the establishment of the Committee, the increase in the number of users with editorial roles heightens the importance of the University's logging policy and log systems; additional measures shall be taken by the IT department as needed.
