ACADEMIC PROMOTION AND APPOINTMENT CRITERIA

Minimum Requirements

  1. Assistant Professor Position:

Initial appointment to an Assistant Professor position;

For an initial appointment to an Assistant Professor position, the candidate must have carried out scientific activities corresponding to at least 100 points from categories A-J listed in Annex 1.

Reappointment to an Assistant Professor position;

At our University, reappointment to an Assistant Professor position is made once every four years. For reappointment:

Candidates for reappointment must, for the four years preceding the appointment, have carried out scientific activities corresponding to at least 100 points from categories A-J listed in Annex 1 and at least 150 points from categories A-U, amounting to at least 200 points in total.

2. Associate Professor Position:

To be appointed as an Associate Professor, a candidate must;

a) Meet the minimum application requirements for the Basic Fields set out in the Regulation on the Associate Professorship Examination and have passed the Associate Professorship examination of the Presidency of the Interuniversity Board.

b) Candidates who have obtained the title of Associate Professor abroad must have been recognized by the Interuniversity Board as equivalent to those who have passed the associate professorship examination.

c) Have carried out scientific activities corresponding to at least 500 points from categories A-U listed in Annex 1, of which at least 100 points must be from categories A-C, amounting to 600 points in total.

3. Professor Position:

For candidates to be appointed to a Professor position for the first time;

Provided that, after obtaining the title of Associate Professor, candidates meet the minimum requirements for the relevant field of science according to the Associate Professorship Application Requirements determined by the Interuniversity Board;

a) In the Basic Field of Social, Human and Administrative Sciences, obtain at least 750 points in total from categories A-U listed in Annex 1, of which 200 points must be from categories A-C, amounting to at least 900 points in total;

b) In the Basic Field of Natural Sciences and Engineering, obtain at least 750 points in total from categories A-U listed in Annex 1, of which 200 points must be from categories A-C, amounting to at least 1000 points in total;

c) In the Basic Field of Philology, obtain at least 750 points in total from categories A-U listed in Annex 1, of which 200 points must be from categories A-C, amounting to at least 900 points in total;

d) In the Basic Field of Health Sciences, obtain at least 750 points in total from categories A-U listed in Annex 1, of which 200 points must be from categories A-C, amounting to at least 1000 points in total;

e) In the Basic Field of Law, Educational Sciences and Teacher Training, obtain at least 750 points from categories A-U listed in Annex 1, amounting to at least 900 points in total;
