Core Duties

  • To carry out work related to the University's personnel planning and policy, to plan the academic and administrative staff structure and, where necessary, to make recommendations for the development of the personnel system,

  • To make the most effective use of personnel by developing long- and medium-term projects on staff distribution,

  • To carry out, promptly, completely and accurately in accordance with the applicable laws, statutes, regulations and decisions, all services relating to the personal rights of all university personnel (academic and administrative staff), including contracts, appointments, promotions, extension of terms of office, assignments and leave, disciplinary matters, adaptation, service and employment certificates, termination of employment and retirement,

  • To transfer personnel records and similar information to a digital environment, thereby creating and updating the university personnel database,

  • To conduct general procedures such as academic staff vacancy announcements, staffing procedures and civil servant recruitment, and to carry out the necessary correspondence with the relevant institutions on these matters,

  • To carry out the personnel procedures of foreign national academic staff, hourly paid academic staff and part-time administrative staff,

  • To enter academic staff information into the YÖKSİS database and the ÖSYM Academic Staff Information Collection System, and to record changes where necessary,

  • To carry out the transport pass procedures of academic staff and the identity card procedures of all personnel,

  • To identify the training needs of personnel and to contribute to the operation and development of the university by planning and implementing pre-service and in-service training programmes for administrative staff so that they can best perform the duties for which they are responsible,

  • To organise and safeguard personnel service files,

  • To prepare announcements relating to personnel,

  • To ensure cooperation and coordination among the units under its authority,

  • To perform similar duties assigned by the Rectorate and the Secretariat General,
