Course Objective
To comprehend the basic theoretical knowledge and skills related to quality management in health institutions.
Globalization, technological changes, changes in customer information and expectations, changes in employee knowledge and experience, Education, v.b. factors have created changes in all sectors. This change has affected the health sector at least as much as other sectors and has made the change mandatory by affecting the service delivery process. The need for change has affected health planners and managers closely, and studies have been initiated to examine the management models that can be applied in health services. Total Quality Management (TQM), which has been successfully applied by many sectors and countries before and has achieved positive results, has also been successfully applied in the health sector. This course is based on the study of TQM practices in health services within the framework of topics such as TQM practices, TQM principles, quality awards.
Course Content
The historical development of quality and total quality management philosophy and policy, health and nursing services quality in, quality and leadership, quality and corporate culture, quality and team work, Continuous Quality Improvement, quality improvement Tools, health care quality measurement, quality assurance systems, Quality Awards, health care quality standards in our country.

- To be able to examine the characteristics of quality assurance systems.

- Knows quality improvement teams at a level that can take part in them.
- Explains basic quality improvement models.
- Knows the Ministry of Health SKS and SAS.
- Explains the basic concepts of patient and employee safety.
- Counts the types of medical errors.
- Analyzes the sources of medical error.
- Explains the preventive administrative measures of medical errors and the responsibility of management and the legal aspects of medical errors.
- Knows the measures to ensure employee safety.
- Explains national and international patient safety goals.
