Course Objective
It is to enable teacher candidates to teach listening, speaking, reading and writing skills to primary school students. Our aim is to prepare activities and lesson plans for this purpose.
Course Content
Modern methods and techniques that can be used in teaching Turkish; developing reading, writing, listening, speaking and understanding; identification and elimination of reading difficulties; reading the structure of the texts; teaching poems, informative and narrative texts, reading and writing between texts; questions and types related to setting meaning from texts, developing vocabulary, media literacy (visual reading and presentation), reading and use of technology, constructing meaning from texts; developing critical thinking through reading and writing; fast reading and techniques; main idea teaching and methods; aims, types and rules of reading; reading, writing, listening, speaking and understanding Evaluations; The examination of the elementary school Turkish program and its relations with other courses will be covered.

Explanations
70% attendance is mandatory. Course attendance is important for academic success. Midterm exam will be evaluated as 25%, homework as 25% and final as 50%.
Course Learning Outcomes
- Students will be able to use modern methods and techniques in teaching Turkish.
- Students Understand teaching of reading, writing and listening, speaking.
- Student Know the Turkish language program.
- Students Use his / her theoretical knowledge about teaching Turkish in preparing activities.
