Course Objective
To inform prospective teachers about current primary school programs and program development.
Course Content
Basic concepts related to curriculum; elements, purposes (behavioral goals, achievements), areas of primary school curriculum; philosophical, historical, psychological and social foundations of primary school curriculum, program development process in general, program development approaches, designs and models, basic elements of the curriculum (achievement, content, education and testing situations), program evaluation approaches and models, primary school curriculum development activities in the Republic period, characteristics of the current primary school curriculum.
Course Learning Outcomes
- Knows the basic concepts of program development.
- Knows the program development designs and models.
- Understands the basic elements of the curriculum (acquisition, content, education and testing).
- Applies the approaches and models of program evaluation.
- To be able to know curriculum development activities in primary school and the characteristics of existing primary school program.
- Prepares gain, content, efficiency, measurement and evaluation at primary level.
