Course Objective
To provide pre-service teachers with information about developmental periods, importance and characteristics of child psychology.
Course Content
Basic concepts, history and methods of child psychology; prenatal development; developmental areas and characteristics of infancy; development areas and characteristics of the first childhood period; recent childhood development areas and characteristics; family structure in child; children in school system; childhood adaptation and behavior problems; Children with special requirements.
Course Learning Outcomes
- Gains knowledge of basic concepts, history and methods of child psychology.
- Prenatal development; developmental areas and characteristics of infancy; development areas and characteristics of the first childhood period; To be informed about the development areas and properties of the last childhood period.
- Have information about the child in the family structure.
- Children in school system; makes work for childhood adaptation and behavior problems.
- Works for children with special needs.
