Students are expected to comprehend screening and identification processes from early childhood onwards, identify difficulties experienced in academic areas (reading, writing, mathematics), and plan evidence-based intervention techniques and lesson adaptations. The course aims to equip students with professional competencies to execute multidisciplinary teamwork, the Response to Intervention (RTI) Model, and family-centered guidance processes.

This course covers the formation process of learning, the definition and types of Learning Disabilities, and the educational, psychological, medical, and neurological factors playing a role in their emergence, along with theoretical approaches explaining Learning Disabilities, early signs in the 3-6 age group, medical/developmental/educational screening and diagnostic methods, and prevalence rates. It addresses measures supporting academic success in the classroom, instructional planning, the Response to Intervention model, and team teaching/collaboration. It includes learning disabilities in reading-writing and mathematics, intervention techniques aimed at developing these skills, and guidance processes for the families of children with learning disabilities.
