Staff Training Mobility with Erasmus+ Programme Countries
Staff training mobility, which offers our staff a mobility opportunity within the Erasmus+ programme, enables staff at higher education institutions to receive training in another programme country for a period ranging from a minimum of 2 days to a maximum of 2 months. Full-time staff employed at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University may receive training at an organisation in a Programme country.
How to Apply
Staff who wish to apply must complete the online application form available at https://applyerasmus.izu.edu.tr/.
Application Documents
- The online application form must be completed in full.
- A photograph must be attached to the application form.
- A language exam result document, if available (result documents for the TOEFL-IBT, TOEFL-CBT, TOEFL-PBT, YDS, YÖKDİL and IELTS exams recognised as equivalent by the University may be uploaded to the system. YDS and YÖKDİL documents will be evaluated subject to a five-year validity requirement. Other exam certificates are valid for two years.)
- Staff with a disability must upload their disability certificate to the system.
- Veteran staff must upload their veteran status certificate to the system.
- Staff who are relatives of a martyr or veteran must upload the document proving this status to the system.
- Documenting that one level of higher education was studied in a foreign language.
Minimum Requirements
To take part in the activity, students must first meet the following minimum requirements:
- All permanent staff (Academic, administrative)
- Staff without a teaching load (Research Assistants should apply for Staff Training mobility.)
Selection Criteria
The evaluation criteria and weighted scores used in assessing mobility applications are as follows:

Applications received online are assessed according to the criteria above and ranked. Candidates with the highest scores are selected as grant recipients, reserves or non-grant participants within the available quotas.
Erasmus+ Mobility with Grant Option
The daily subsistence amounts to be paid to staff benefiting from the training mobility activity have been determined by the National Agency as follows, taking into account the living standards of the countries:

80% of the Erasmus grant is paid before departure, and the remaining 20% after return and once the procedures have been completed, into the Euro account specified by the beneficiary in the contract signed with the staff member benefiting from the teaching mobility.
The 2017-2018 Academic year mobility grant covers activities taking place between 4 April 2018 and 25 May 2018.
Staff who wish to do so may take part in the training mobility without a grant.
The grant to which higher education institution staff benefiting from training mobility are entitled is calculated by their own higher education institution within the framework of the grant calculation rules determined by the Centre (National Agency).
Staff benefiting from training mobility receive a daily/weekly subsistence allowance and a travel cost payment based on the travel distance, within the framework of the rules determined by the Centre. This payment is a contribution towards the travel and subsistence expenses relating to the period spent abroad. The travel cost payment is a contribution towards the cost of the participants' travel from their place of residence to the place of activity and back. The travel distance is calculated using the distance calculator provided by the European Commission. It is added to the participant's grant on a one-off basis.

The grant provided to staff benefiting from training mobility is a contribution and is not intended to cover all expenses relating to the period spent abroad.
Erasmus+ Mobility without Grant Option
Staff may exercise this right by selecting the "Without Grant" option on the online form when applying, or by notifying the Erasmus Institutional Coordination Office after the results have been announced.
Additional Grant Opportunity for Persons with Special Needs
For the mobility of staff with disabilities, an additional grant may be provided in line with their special needs. For detailed information, you may contact the Erasmus Institutional Coordination Office.

Grant Calculation
Staff selected for staff mobility will be provided with 5 days of grant and travel support.
E.g.: 5 x the daily grant amount of the destination country + the travel grant awarded according to the km value calculated for the destination country
