IZU registration dates are between 01 July 2025 - 30 September 2025. Once you have been admitted to an undergraduate program at Istanbul Zaim University, you should begin working immediately to complete your registration. Please pay close attention to the instructions below to ensure a smooth process. Remember that registration is a process that needs to be handled quickly. If you are late in registering, you will lose your admission. Make sure you complete your registration early.
Step 1: Payment of Tuition Fees
Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University is a non-profit foundation university. It is a type of university funded by donations and student tuition fees. For this reason, students must pay their tuition fees before classes begin each term. You must present your proof of payment during registration. The fees and scholarships page explains important information about the payment of fees and scholarships.
Step 2: Accommodation
Before you arrive, you should consider where you will live in Istanbul. If you would like to apply to the IZU Student Residence, you should follow the residence application dates. Istanbul is the second largest city in the world in terms of the number of universities. You can therefore find many accommodation options.
Step 3: Travelling to Istanbul
Before you travel, you will be matched with an advisor. As your advisor may wish to meet you on arrival, it is best to consult them and arrange the purchase of your travel ticket according to whether you will be met. If you were unable to obtain your equivalency certificate before travelling, we recommend that you arrive in Istanbul at least 3 weeks before the end of the registration period. Pay attention to the key dates when deciding on your travel plans. Attending the orientation program is not optional; it is a prerequisite for registration. You are required to be present at the orientation. If you do not hold a proficiency certificate in the language of the program to which you have been admitted, you must take the IZU language proficiency exam. Please follow the updates on the proficiency exam dates, as the exam will not be repeated. We recommend that you check the International Students section of the IZU website. You can find the Welcome Kit, which we created to make everything easier for you, on the website. Our team at the international office prepared this kit to answer the questions you may face at the start. In this kit you will find every small detail that may be useful to you over the next four to five years. In the following pages you will learn the steps to take when facing various problems. In particular, in the section “How Can I Succeed at IZU?”, you will see how to avoid the small obstacles that may stand in the way of your education and the key steps to becoming a successful student. At the end, you will find a brief introduction to life in Istanbul and Turkey, which will be your guide to surviving and thriving.
Step 4: Registration
Come to the IZU Halkalı Campus and bring with you the documents requested in your application, along with the others. First, the international office will verify the authenticity of your documents.
