Course Objective

The aim of lesson; To provide students with the ability to analyze human movements by using mechanical principles of physical education and sports and knowledge of basic physics laws.

Course Content

Course content; Principles of biomechanics and skeletal-muscular systems movements in sports, the importance of biomechanics in athlete performance, safety of movement in sports and prevention of injuries, movement and movement patterns, muscle and nerve activities, types of contraction, muscle, tendon mechanics and mechanics of muscle contraction, circulation, respiratory mechanics, skeleton It covers the structure and chemistry of muscles, movement analysis, muscular strength, power, force components and analysis in sports techniques, and analysis of sports techniques.

Course Learning Outcomes

  1. Defines the basic concepts related to the field of biomechanics.
  2. Explains the effects of biomechanics and internal and external forces acting on the human body.
  3. Demonstrates exercise applications that exemplify types of muscle contraction
  4. Conducts basic level movement analysis for different branches and examines the results.
