Course Objective

Examining the International Criminal Law system within the framework of current practices in international law, by demonstrating its relevance to domestic law.

Course Content

 

International Criminal Law is a branch of international law that includes subjects such as ADHOC Criminal Courts (such as TPIY-ICTY), International Criminal Court, semi-international courts, criminal law practices within the UN System, extradition procedures, accused and victim rights.

Course Learning Outcomes

  1. Students taking this course; • Will be able to explain the basic concepts and principles of International Criminal Law.
  2. Analyzes the current problems of International Criminal Law in the light of theoretical based information.
  3. Recognizes the structure, quality and functioning of the International Criminal Court.
