Course Objective

The main aim of the course is to introduce and inform Turkish constitutional law conceptually and institutionally. In particular constitutional history and constitutional bodies in Turkey and to teach the rules for their functioning form such a course.

Course Content

The basic principles of the Constitution of 1982 and the state, the relationship between the executive and legislative bodies and government system, human rights, judicial body, the Constitutional Court, Turkey's constitutional order, constitutional history in Turkey.

Course Learning Outcomes

  1. Gives the ability to comprehend the basic principles and concepts in the constitution.
  2. They can solve the problems they encounter in the field of constitutional law.
  3. To be able to critically examine the decisions of the Constitutional Court on certain constitutional issues, especially fundamental rights and freedoms.
