Course Objective

The purpose of this course is to provide information on the operation, capabilities and limitations of laboratory equipment while examining the metabolism and functions of macronutrients and micronutrients.

Course Content

The content of this course consists of studies on metabolism and functions of nutrients, structure and properties of some biomolecules, biochemical energy transformations, biosynthesis of vitamins and cofactors, operation of laboratory devices, determination of capabilities and limits.

Course Learning Outcomes

  1. It has advanced knowledge in important points about nutrition biochemistry.
  2. Evaluates researches on metabolism and functions of macro and micro nutrients and laboratory procedures.
