Course Objective

To have information about the theological background of spiritual care and consultancy services, to have information about the historical development of services, to have knowledge about the theories and approaches used in the context of services, to use the theological content in the context of classical and contemporary theology, changing conditions, in the context of cases to gain.

Course Content

Spiritual care concept, basic overview of the spiritual care needs, the scope of spiritual care, spiritual care processes of the healthcare team, the physiological and psychological aspects of spiritual care in health care, spiritual care in health care world and turkey applications of the roles and responsibilities of spiritual care team, legal aspects of spiritual care, spiritual the caregiver's training includes the risks of spiritual care, special groups, children, terminal period patients, and spiritual care for the elderly and disabled.

  1. The student defines the concepts of spiritual care, spiritual counseling and religious counseling.
  2. The student knows the historical development of spiritual care and counseling with the theology.
  3. The student knows different approaches to spiritual care and counseling services and analyzes these approaches
  4. The student develops examples of available theology in examples of changing situations.
