Course Objective
The aim of the course is to provide the students with the definition, staging and classification of tumors, cancer risk factors, early diagnosis and treatment methods in line with technological developments, problems in cancer patients and information and applications related to nursing care initiatives for these problems.
Course Content
It includes risk factors, primary and secondary prevention measures in cancer, care in treatment interventions such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy, bone marrow transplantation, symptoms management and information and practices related to planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing interventions related to oncological emergencies.
