Course Objective

The aim of the course is to provide the students with a scientific research mentality and to be knowledgeable, methodical and approachable in all kinds of research.

Course Content

This course includes topics such as the research process - defining the problem, literature review, research question / hypothesis creation, research patterns, sample selection methods, data collection tools, data collection methods, data reporting, finding, discussion and basic principles of source writing.

Course Learning Outcomes

  1. To be able to distinguish between theory, concept, variable and hypothesis in scientific research
  2. Will be able to explain research design, quantitative and qualitative approaches.
  3. Explain how the research question and problematic are designed
  4. Will be able to explain the important points about the literature review and will be able to transfer them.
  5. Describe and explain the differences between numerical and verbal methods
