Course Objective
To train expert nurses who are competent in the field of internal medicine nursing, can reflect theoretical knowledge to the clinic, and can contribute to the profession and science.
Course Content
This course includes basic concepts in internal medicine nursing (stress, pain), conditions that disrupt homeostasis, fluid-electrolyte imbalances, acid-base imbalances, cardiovascular system diseases, respiratory system diseases, endocrine system diseases, oncological diseases, digestive system diseases, blood diseases and nursing care.

Course Learning Outcomes
- To be able to communicate effectively with nursing and other health disciplines, they can develop their knowledge in the field of internal medicine nursing to an expert level.
- May have expert level theoretical knowledge about acute and chronic diseases in order to act in accordance with evidence-based and ethical values in clinical practice and research.
- By using the nursing process steps in the care of an individual with a chronic disease, the individual/family can have the ability to determine educational needs, plan, implement and evaluate necessary interventions in accordance with their needs.
- Making critical decisions in acute/chronic situations, taking responsibility and producing solutions, applying evidence-based preventive, therapeutic and rehabilitative nursing interventions when necessary and evaluating their results.
- Knows the concepts that will form the basis of acute, chronic and critical care in Internal Medicine Nursing.
