Course Objective
The aim of the course; to give an overview of the concept of popular culture in both institutional and practical contexts. Also, this course aims to explain according to what terms and conditions consumer behavior varies, and the components of this process, to evaluate and analyze in order to develop marketing practices in organizations which are profit-oriented and non-profit organizations.
Course Content
The course content includes popular culture and its historical process, cultural changes, popular culture and consumption, culture industry, media and culture relationship, the definition of consumer behavior and its general and infrastructure, establishment of marketing activities in terms of consumer behavior, purchasing behavior of consumers, consumer perspectives, consumer behavior in economic approach, consumer psychology, socioeconomic reasons affecting consumer behavior, the necessity of consumption, and the duties of the consumer in protecting consumers.
