Course Objective

Examining the functioning of competition law

Course Content

Regulations in the field of Competition Law, studies carried out in this direction in order to ensure compliance with European Union Law, statements regarding anti-competitive situations, elimination of the consequences arising from competition violations, punishment of those responsible for acts and agreements that hinder competition, the organization of the Competition Authority, its administrative duties, its authority to investigate. and its scope, procedure for objection to decisions.

  1. Concepts related to Competition Law are examined.
  2. EU, US and Turkish Competition Law are discussed comparatively.
  3. The concept of cartel is evaluated with examples from practice.
  4. The concept of abuse of dominant position is evaluated.
  5. Mergers and acquisitions are examined in the light of practice.
