Course Objective

The aim of this course ise to make an introduction to disaster law within the framework of responsibility of administration, international agreements and the legal aspects of disaster control.

Course Content

The legal definition of disaster will be discussed, within this concept legislature for disaster and emergency will be analysed. Organization scheme of AFAD will be discussed. Risk management in disaster will be examined. Within the concept of disaster civil, criminal and administrative responsibilities will be researched.

Course Learning Outcomes

  1. Legal foundations of disaster concept can be explained within the scope of legislation
  2. The place and duties of the institutions and organizations authorized in disaster management will be understood.
  3. The concept of risk management in disasters and the legal framework of the duties to the administration can be drawn
  4. Risks and civil, criminal and administrative responsibilities arising from disasters can be analyzed.
