Course Objective
The purpose of the module is to enable our students to have the ability to read and understand historical legal texts, in particular Mecelle, written in Ottoman Turkish. One of the purposes of this module is also to improve the understanding and knowledge of students on historical documents. The opportunity to compare some points like language, form, method, content used in historical and contemporary laws and legal texts is also provided to students

- to learn and know the definitions of the legal terms bu understanding the meaning of the words in Ottoman Turkish
