Course Objective

The aim of this course is to explain the principles of electronic commerce and electronic commerce law. Another aim is to explain the legal regulations related to electronic commerce by introducing the difference between Turkey and the European Union.

Course Content

This course examines electronic commerce and electronic commerce law. The security need in electronic commerce has prompted legislators to issue Electronic Commerce Law. This law, which is still in draft, contains some provisions under the influence of the European Union's regulations on this issue. For this reason, the regulations of the European Union on electronic commerce are also examined. In this course, information is also given on the responsibility of electronic signatures and internet providers.

Course Learning Outcomes

  1. Distinguish the basic concepts of e-commerce and e-business
  2. Organizes the necessary infrastructure for e-commerce applications.
  3. Lists e-commerce application development processes
  4. It uses security methods used in e-commerce applications.
