Course Objective

This course aims to explore the emergence of political or creed sects and different sects of Islam, the methods and different ideas of these sects and the formation of a correct conception of history.

Course Content

This course teaches the origins, methods and principles of sects as well as the historical reasons and factors that led to the emergence of different Islamic sects. It also deals with the Kharijites and Shia sects. In addition, it deals with the religious differences of schools such as Mutezile, Cebriyye and Mürcie. The lesson includes also the first-emerging issues such as kebir, imamate etc.
