Course Objective

The aim is to teach the phonetic, morphological, and vocabulary characteristics of Khorezm and Kipchak Turkish, which are branches of the Middle Turkic period of the Turkish language, and the qualities of the works from this period.

Course Content

The student understands the origins and historical development stages of Khorezm and Kipchak Turkish. They are knowledgeable about Khorezm and Kipchak Turkish literary works and authors. They can transliterate Khorezm and Kipchak Turkish texts and perform analytical exercises on these texts.

Course Learning Outcomes

  1. He/She is knowledgeable about the origins and historical development stages of Khorezm and Kipchak Turkish.
  2. He/She is familiar with the distribution maps of Khorezmian and Kipchak Turkic languages.
  3. He/She is familiar with texts that exhibit the linguistic features of Khorezm and Kipchak Turkish, and with the authors of these works.
  4. He/She is familiar with Khorezmian and Kipchak Turkish texts.
  5. Understands the linguistic features of Khorezm and Kipchak Turkish.
  6. It conducts word analyses on the vocabulary of Khorezm and Kipchak Turkish.
