Course Objective

The aim is to teach the phonetic, morphological, and vocabulary characteristics of Karakhanid Turkish, a branch of the Middle Turkic period of the Turkish language, and the qualities of the works from this period.

Course Content

The student will understand the origins and historical development stages of Karakhanid Turkish. They will have knowledge of Karakhanid Turkish works and authors. They will transliterate Karakhanid Turkish texts and conduct analytical studies on these texts.

Course Learning Outcomes

  1. He/She knows the origins and historical development stages of Karakhanid Turkish.
  2. He/She is familiar with the distribution maps of Karakhanid Turkish.
  3. He/She knows the texts in which the linguistic features of Karakhanid Turkish are observed, and the authors of these works.
  4. He/She is familiar with Karakhanid Turkish texts.
  5. He/She understands the linguistic features of Karakhanid Turkish.
  6. It conducts word analyses on the vocabulary of Karakhanid Turkish.
