Course Objective

The aim of this course is to provide social work students with the necessary knowledge, skills and values to work directly with children and young people. During the semester, characteristics unique to child and youth period, problems of child and youth period and social work practices with children and youth will be discussed with micro, mezzo, macro level.

Course Content

Theories of development, types of marriage, functions of family, structure of family in different religions and societies, place of woman, child and elderly in society, family problems, Family Law and Family Research in Turkey and in the world, social work with families.
