Course Objective
This course aims to provide knowledge and skills in community nutrition, nutritional epidemiology, and methods used to assess nutritional status. It also aims to develop students’ abilities in research planning, data collection and analysis, critical interpretation of scientific literature, and preparation of research reports, within the framework of developing strategies for the protection, improvement, and promotion of health.
Course Content
The content of this course covers the methods used to assess nutritional status. Within this scope, topics such as anthropometric measurements, clinical findings, biochemical and biophysical methods, dietary intake surveys, health statistics (including age-specific mortality and morbidity rates), and screening tests/tools for determining nutritional status will be addressed. In addition, the course includes the application of anthropometric measurements, the conduct of individual dietary intake assessments, as well as the evaluation and reporting of the collected data.

Evaluation will be made through a midterm exam and a final exam.
