Course Objective
Students will be taught the importance of maternal and child nutrition, determination of physiological, metabolic and endocrine changes and nutritional interactions during pregnancy and lactation, the importance and properties of breast milk in infant nutrition, ready-made/commercial formulas and their properties, complementary feeding, monitoring and evaluation of growth and development, school To inform about nutritional characteristics, nutritional problems and solution suggestions during pre-school, school and adolescence periods.
Course Content
This course covers the importance of maternal and child nutrition in the world and in Turkey, Nutrition during pregnancy, Nutrition during lactation, Nutrition during infancy (0-1 years) and Breast milk (0-6 months), Nutrition during infancy (0-1 years) and Complementary nutrition (6-12 months), Nutrition in infancy (0-1 years) and Cow's milk, formulas and other commercial products, Evaluation and monitoring of growth and development in preschool, school period and childhood, Nutrition in the pre-school period, Pre-school It includes the topics of common nutritional problems and recommendations during the period, Nutrition during the school period, Nutrition during the adolescence period, Nutritional problems common during the school and adolescence period.
