Course Objective

To compare different cultures and societies in the direction of modern anthropology's methods, aims and findings, to examine the economic and political functioning of different societies and cultures, family, kinship, religion and other belief systems and rituals. Comprehension of cultural symbols

Introduction to the science of anthropology, concepts and theories of social and cultural anthropology

Course Learning Outcomes

  1. Understands the necessity and importance of cultural phenomena for society.
  2. Learns the authenticity of the cultural reality of society.
  3. He recognizes that the ethnocentric view is an important obstacle to the evaluation of the socio-cultural structure.
  4. Knows that every cultural system can be analyzed within its own symbolic structure.
  5. By learning other cultures, cultural diversity is a normal situation, the other acquires a sense of tolerance and coexistence.
