Course Objective

To comprehend basic design principles; developing spatial solution proposals; to gain the ability to solve basic design problems; development of design ability. 

Course Content

The framework of the course is based on the integration of art and architecture. As it is the course of the department of interior design, it is focused on interior design. Within the framework of basic design principles, geometric systems, parametric systems, time-space, motion-velocity concepts in terms of design principles that cover design strategies. Besides students assignments, workshops are also included in the course.

Explanations

This course will be evaluated weekly homeworks, midterm and final term homework.

1. Subject of weekly homeworks are determined according to the previous week's lesson. The homeworks are presented individually or in group.

2. Term and final assignments cover all subjects which were processed in previous weeks and presented as models, drawings and text.

Rules

  1. Attendance: According to the regulation, if a student does not attend 20% of the total course hours, he / she gets absent from the course (DZ) and fails.

  2. Late Arrival: You are expected to attend classes not only to come to class, but to attend the class in a timely manner. Please note that late arrival to 3 courses will be counted as 1 complete absenteeism. Late arrival to the class is defined as follows: The class teacher to take the attendence and arrival after 10 minutes will be considered as absent.

  3. Getting Help: It is important for your training to ask questions about the course during the lectures or during the interview hours. We recommend that our students get help if necessary.

  4. Academic honesty: It is expected to be your own effort and work in the studies that will be subject to the course grade. In cases of non-ethical situations such as plagiarism and copying, disciplinary proceedings are brought under the relevant regulations of IZU and you are subject to necessary penal sanctions.

  5. The evaluations stated in this follow-up are fixed and no additional compensation will be made for the purpose of raising the grade.
