GIM 230 - Computer Aided Drafting

Course Objective

The aim of the course is to ensure that students taking the course learn the basic principles of technical drawing and can make the necessary drawings using a computer drawing program in the design of food processing equipment and understand the drawings in such prepared projects.

Course Content

The course covers the importance of technical drawing, projection technique, lines, their meanings and technical writings, measurement and tolerance rules, views, cuts and drawing applications of machine elements using the Autodesk Fusion 360 program.

Course Learning Outcomes

  1. The student who take the course can visualize 2D and 3D drawings, dimention the drawings, draw the views, cuts and perspectives, and understand the technical drawings
  2. Can draw machine elements using Autodesk Fusion 360 program.
