Course Objective
This lesson, enables the student to use Turkish Sign Language (TID) in accordance with its rules and to express the culture, social and natural environment in which they live effectively and accurately.
Course Content
In this lesson, the student gets general information about Turkish Sign Language. Learns the TID alphabet, basic sentence structures, yes-no questions, negative sentences, questions related to time and time, numbers, question words and verbs and does exercises with many examples in the classroom. The student learns to communicate with the hearing impaired by translating and translating sign language at a basic level.

Course Learning Outcomes
- Know the hand and finger shapes, the position of the hands relative to the body, the function of gestures, the use of one and two hands, can use sign language and spoken language together by mastering the relationship of signs with Turkish,
- Recognizing the characteristics of the deaf culture and using TID correctly,
- Student can show the necessary performance in greeting, asking for remembrance, understanding the other side, conveying feelings and thoughts,
- Student can communicate using TID,
- Student can explain the features of Turkish Sign Language by making the definition.
