Course Objective
The aim of the "Alternative Education Practices in Primary School" course is to provide teacher candidates with preliminary information about the situations they may encounter due to geographical, social and economic reasons in their professional lives, to increase their awareness of the situations encountered and to provide them with different application examples.
Course Content
Geographic affecting education in Turkey, social and economic factors, and rural roads meet the educational needs of children in scattered settlements; the advantages and disadvantages of bussed education; boarding primary district schools, advantages and disadvantages of boarding primary schools; teaching in unified classes, reasons for unified classes, basic foundations of teaching in unified classrooms, teaching planning in unified classroom, classroom management and evaluation activities, duties and responsibilities of teacher in unified classes, teaching practices in unified classes in the world.
Course Learning Outcomes
- Geographic affecting education in Turkey, social and economic factors, the educational needs of children in rural and scattered settlements have knowledge about ways to meet.
- Transport education, advantages and disadvantages of transported education; have information on the advantages and disadvantages of boarding primary schools, boarding schools.
- Teaching the combined classes, the reasons for the unified classes, the basic foundations of teaching in the unified classes.
- Have knowledge about planning of teaching in classroom, classroom management and evaluation activities, and the duties and responsibilities of teachers in combined classes.
- Gains knowledge of teaching practices in unified classes in the world.
