Course Objective
Domestic and foreign information systems and computer-based career counseling programs offering services over the internet; to develop knowledge and skills about the evaluation of these systems, the standards that the systems should have, and the use of the systems within the framework of ethical standards.
Course Content
Assessing the place and need for the using of technology in career counseling; using of technology in career counseling, current needs, demands and problems; computer based intervention methods and their effectiveness in career decision-making processes; examining program examples; project presentations.
Course Learning Outcomes
- Use computer / internet based intervention tools in career counseling
- Define appropriate computer-based intervention tools for the target audience
- Selects career decision making tools according to the criteria of suitability, usability and scientific criteria
- Generates scientifically based ideas about new computer assisted tools to be developed in career counseling
- Have knowledge about the tools used in national and international level.
