The Department of Political Science and International Relations is a social science field that examines governance problems arising from people living together through basic concepts such as power, system, state and government. It analyses the behaviour of political actors, reveals regularities in this behaviour and evaluates various forms of political relations comparatively. It aims to give students of the Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences a critical and analytical perspective for understanding who does what, why and how.
Graduates of the department can work at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, strategic research centres, and national and international public and private sector organizations. They are also equipped to pursue careers in different fields such as multinational companies, the European Commission, the media and the private sector. Students who wish to advance in academia can access academic career opportunities at universities, research centres and related institutions.
