The aim of the department is to provide society in our country and around the world with health professionals in the field of nutrition science and dietetics who, on the path illuminated by science, determine the food and nutritional needs of every individual, group and community, establish and apply evidence-based protocols for healthy living, and build the capacity to meet the necessary standards.
Our goal: in addition to its infrastructure and scientific research and development opportunities, the Department at the Sabahattin Zaim University Faculty of Health Sciences offers, with its leading academics, an education programme that includes intensive foreign language support and, alongside theoretical courses, laboratory practice, course practicals, and hospital and field internships.

A dietitian is a health professional who, having successfully completed the nutrition and dietetics education programme and received the “Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics”, is entitled to practise this profession.
