The primary education programme lasts 4 academic years. This programme consists of courses containing the theoretical and practical knowledge needed to become a primary school teacher for grades 1 to 4. Some of the courses in the programme are: Basic Mathematics in Primary School, Turkish Language I and II, Teaching Early Reading and Writing, Science Teaching, Life Studies Teaching, Social Studies Teaching, Mathematics Teaching I and II, Classroom Management, Music Teaching, Visual Arts Education and Drama in Primary School. The courses in the programme are designed not only to give students basic theoretical knowledge but also to provide the necessary practical knowledge. The programme also includes field electives that will help increase the personal development of future primary school teachers, such as Children's Literature, Inclusive Language Teaching, Traditional Children's Games, Social Skills Teaching, the Child and Education in Turkish Culture, and the Primary School Curriculum.
