Preschool Teaching
The Preschool Teaching Undergraduate Programme is a 240-ECTS programme with a normal duration of 4 academic years consisting of 8 semesters. As in the other undergraduate departments of our university, 1 ECTS corresponds to a student workload of 30 (hours/semester).
The aim of the Preschool Teaching Undergraduate Programme is to train qualified teachers who can adapt to and apply contemporary scientific developments in the field of preschool education. The Preschool Teaching Undergraduate Programme aims to develop the teaching skills of teachers who will educate children aged 0-6 by giving them the necessary theoretical foundation.
The aim of the Preschool Teaching Undergraduate Programme is not only to train preschool teachers but also to contribute to the development of society by cooperating with the families of preschool children and working jointly with social institutions dealing with their health and education problems. By combining theoretical knowledge with fieldwork, the Preschool Teaching Undergraduate Programme provides up-to-date research opportunities at a contemporary level.
Opportunities Offered to Students:
- Opportunity to learn foreign languages (free of charge),
- Opportunity to do a minor (with a scholarship for the normal duration of the major programme),
- Opportunity to do a double major (with a scholarship for the normal duration of the double major programme),
- Opportunity to study abroad through international exchange programmes (1 or 2 semesters),
- Opportunity to continue with master's programmes after graduation.
Career Opportunities:
Graduates of the Preschool Teaching Programme can work as teachers in all public and private preschool education institutions affiliated with the Ministry of National Education. Graduates have the opportunity to develop themselves by continuing with graduate education.
